ECW Meeting & Luncheon-February 9 at 11:30 am. We will be making Valentine bags for our members who are homebound or in nursing homes, so we need goodies such as candies, trinkets, small note pads, socks, etc. Lunch is $5.00; Joan Thomas is cooking. Property Work Day-Saturday, February 13, 9:00-Noon. You get dirty; the church gets clean!
Pancake supper-Annual Shrove Tuesday pancake supper February 16, 5-7 pm.
Ash Wednesday-February 17. Services at Noon and 7:00 pm. Dohn Family Mission-Anita Dohn will meet with the Outreach Committee Tuesday, Feb.9 at 4 pm in the Little Hall. Vestry and members of the congregation are invited to join us. Bring your questions and ideas. We can also discuss the possibility of a wider community forum in the future about their ministry. Food Pantry- The Food Pantry is open Fridays from 10 am-12 pm and on Tuesdays, from 5 pm-7 pm. We appreciate volunteers help at these times. Please give generously of food or money. The Food Pantry runs out of food nearly every week. Altar Flowers- Please sign-up to provide flowers for the altar in memory of or to honor loved ones. The Flower sign-up is in the Little Hall. Thank you. Office Hours-Limited hours until a new secretary is hired, our bookkeeper, Francis Casson, is in Monday & Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm. If you need information immediately and there is no answer at the church, please call Elaine's cell phone: 224-422-6215. Elaine checks voicemail at the church and on her cell. Contact Elaine if you know of a potential applicant or to volunteer to help. Calendars-Please pick up your 2010 Church calendars in the Narthex. Refresh Your Soul Conference -"Medicine, Religion and Health: Where Science and Spirituality Meet." Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio. Watch the Epistle for details. Youth Activities Diocesan Youth Retreat-Register NOW! Ask Rachel Eve Ginter. Exodus 7 Retreat for youth 9-12 grades will take place Feb. 12-14 at St. Patrick's, Lebanon. Cost is $30; scholarship help available, see the rector. Activity Clipboards are available in a basket in the Narthex for children. These age appropriate (ages 3-6 & 7-12) clipboards consist of an activity sheet, crayons and a piece of plain paper. Children should use these to write or color on instead of the attendance pads in the pews. Parents, please return the clipboards and crayons back to the basket in the Narthex after the service.
