Sermon Available for Listening-

Your Communications Team is pleased to announce a new service. Each Sunday’s sermon by our Rector Eileen will be available for listening as a mp3 file to be ‘streamed” from the Web Site, www.newascension.org. Simply open the Info Center menu and on the Sermons page find the sermon you wish to hear and click on the start button. There is server space for about six weeks of sermons and we will provide a link to the old sermons in an archive file. Tell your friends and especially shut-ins who might have a computer source available.

Attention Volunteers! - The Vestry is asking for volunteers to help with counting our loose offerings on Sunday’s. Please contact any member of the Vestry, or Rev. Eileen.

WHAT’S THIS ALL ABOUT    This takes about 1 hour after church and, with the help of these volunteers, will only happen once every two months. It is designed to insure that we always have two people handling any funds of the church. You will be paired with a Vestry person and will be provided training. You get your coffee or tea and then count the money and make out the deposit slips. The Vestry person then takes the deposit to the bank. Please help. This is a way to get to know some of your Vestry as well.

Time to Update Our Church Directory

Many of you have already checked your information. The directory is posted in the Little Hall. Please check your contact information and make any corrections necessary. Please write OK next to your name after you have reviewed your information. If you know of someone who has not been able to come to church lately, why not make a call to them, renew your acquaintance and get their updated information. Thanks for your help-
Ascension's Communications Team

Please note* - The Prayers station is now being conducted in the narthex for any prayer or birthday /anniversary's prayers, or upcoming travel prayers.

Locking Up–

We are still finding doors which have been left open, leaving the church subject to theft and vandalism. The Vestry has expended considerable time, effort and money in making sure that most doors are self locking, so all you have to do is check them after you close them on leaving. Please take the time to do just that. If you find problems, please notify the church office of one of the wardens so that repairs can be scheduled.

Thanks— Your Vestry
